Tuesday 21st September – walks ***** – The Dip to Felixstowe Ferry – sunny, warm and still.

With light winds and clear skies forecast for first thing we were keen to go and see the sunrise, was not sure where to go, walk down to the prom at the end of our road or bike to The Ferry. In the end we had a bit of a disturbed night having woke at 3, so when 6 arrived we decided to drive down towards the Ferry. With sunrise at 6.38 we left home at 6.15 and the sky was already many colours of red, just lovely. So, we parked at our windsurfing car park at The Dip to get some pics, with the sea like a mill pool it was stunning and being enjoyed by three open water swimmers although the prom was deserted, just how we like it:) but it was a tad on the chilly side! We then set off walking to the Ferry past the golf course with a mist inland as the sun appeared as we reached the River Deben, stopping to take some pics, as a couple of small fishing boats headed out. Then onto the boat yard where all the boats reflections were as pretty as a picture as we then headed out onto the River Deben path. It was then back along Tomlin Bank through the golf course and getting back to the van with the skies now blue, it is going to be another lovely day:) Breakfast, then exercises before having a quick walk along the cliff before visiting an old friend.

I was wondering if you would like to take a minute to vote for my pic in this years Felixstowe Photo Competition. My picture is FFF in the seashore section – all votes are greatly appreciated:)
